Vendor Management Administrator
Position Summary
The Vendor Management Administrator supports the organization’s vendor management function by overseeing vendor selection, due diligence, contract administration, and ongoing vendor relationships. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders to ensure vendors are aligned with organizational goals, contracts are compliant, and vendor performance meets established expectations. The position also supports continuous improvement initiatives related to sourcing, risk management, and vendor operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support the selection, evaluation, and onboarding of vendors across the organization
Serve as a primary point of contact between internal stakeholders and external vendors
Monitor vendor performance using established metrics and report outcomes to leadership
Manage contract documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely renewals
Oversee contract modifications, change orders, and compliance requirements
Conduct initial and ongoing risk assessments related to vendor services and relationships
Assist in developing and maintaining vendor risk mitigation and closeout plans
Analyze vendor and program data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance vendor processes and sourcing strategies
Support policy and procedure development related to vendor management
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and internal teams
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to make informed recommendations based on research and data
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to meet applicable background and compliance requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Advanced degree preferred but not required
Five or more years of experience in vendor management, procurement, process improvement, or a related field
Experience with contract management, negotiation, analytics, and relationship management
Proven ability to drive cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives
Prior experience in procurement, consulting, outsourcing, or regulated industries preferred
