Our client, a leader in automotive innovation and engineering, is seeking a dedicated Integration Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an Integration Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle and Bench Validation department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a passion for advancing vehicle thermal management systems, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Vehicle Thermal Integration Engineer
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $90-$93/hour + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Oversee the performance and efficiency of vehicle thermal management systems across a broad temperature range.
- Lead the integration of complex thermal loops supporting autonomous compute stacks, high-voltage battery systems, drive units, and cabin climatization.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans for thermal validation, organizing logistics for North American test campaigns.
- Utilize bench environments to calibrate components, validate firmware, and mitigate thermal control risks prior to vehicle deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including HVAC, hardware, and firmware to ensure thermal requirements are met under all ambient conditions.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in automotive thermal integration, mechanical design, or thermal controls development.
- Proven success in developing heating and cooling solutions for electric motors, high-voltage batteries, and passenger cabins.
- Advanced knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles.
- Expertise with automotive communication protocols and data acquisition tools such as IPetronik hardware, CANape, CANalyzer, or INCA.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
