Unified Vailsburg Services Organization is dedicated to building a stable and compassionate community for Newark's children and families. We are seeking a passionate and certified Pre-K Lead Teacher to provide a high-quality, inclusive educational experience for our 3- and 4-year-old students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, engaging curriculum that meets the individual needs and abilities of all children.

• Conduct ongoing child assessments, track progress, and maintain clear communication with parents through conferences, newsletters, and detailed reports.

• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel respected and valued.

• Supervise and collaborate with a Teacher Assistant, ensuring they are included in classroom planning and activities.

• Integrate lessons on health, nutrition, and safety into daily routines and ensure a clean, sanitized classroom.

• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and staff to support each child's development.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.

• Required: NJ Department of Education Standard P-3 Certificate, CE, or CEAS.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a preschool environment.

• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with educational technology and software for assessment and communication.

• The physical ability to perform duties including lifting, standing for long periods, and sitting on the floor.
