Quality Assurance/Control Inspector
Pay Rate: $22 - $26 per hour, W2
Summary:
- Location: Liberty, MO
- Duration: 12+ Month Contract
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3 PM, with OT as needed, including some Saturdays
Responsibilities:
- Follow written company procedures and applicable outside certification standards to ensure all fabricated and machined products, holders, and accessories meet drawing, work order, and customer requirements.
- Perform receiving inspection of all purchased parts.
- Ensure parts in CNC area are produced properly through first part and in-process inspection.
- Final inspect all products prior to packaging and shipment to end users.
- Route accepted parts and products to the next processing stage.
- Document non-conforming parts or products and route them to designated holding area.
- Calibrate and maintain inventory of measuring equipment, including pressure, control, and computer gauges.
- Track and enter inspection data into the computer.
- Develop non-conformance charts and run weekly updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need.
Physical Requirements:
- Good physical condition.
- Ability to work long standing hours.
- Ability to sit for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day, though possibly more.
- Frequently required to stand and/or walk, up to 2 hours per day, and make occasional trips from the office area to the manufacturing area.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as needed.
- Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment when in the manufacturing area, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
- Vision Requirements: Acuity of 20/30 or better in either eye; Read the Jaeger No. 2 Eye Chart at 16 inches.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent diploma.
- 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Intermediate math and reading skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of applicable certification standards and codes.
- Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system and Microsoft Windows.
