Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Unix Developer to join our team. The
ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Unix/Linux
environments and the ability to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize
scripts and applications. This role will involve working on various
systems and collaborating with other developers to ensure the efficient
operation of Unix-based platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain Unix-based scripts and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions.
• Perform troubleshooting and optimization of Unix systems and applications.
• Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of Unix-based systems.
• Work with databases and servers to maintain and optimize functionality.
• Provide technical support for Unix-based platforms and applications.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure system integrity.
• Review and analyze system requirements to recommend improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in Unix/Linux shell scripting (Bash, Perl, Python, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of Unix operating systems and architecture.
• Experience with version control tools like Git or SVN.
• Familiarity with web services, cloud platforms, and database management.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, or similar.
• Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
