Union Carpenter – Floor Layer Location: Green Bay, WI Employment Type: Full-Time Affiliation: Union Position (UBC Signatory Contractor) Job Summary We are seeking skilled Union Carpenter Floor Layers to join our workforce in the Green Bay area. This position involves the installation, repair, and finishing of a wide variety of commercial and industrial flooring systems. Ideal candidates take pride in craftsmanship, work safely, and thrive in a team-oriented, union environment. Key Responsibilities Install commercial flooring systems including vinyl composition tile (VCT), luxury vinyl tile/plank (LVT/LVP), sheet vinyl, carpet tile, rubber flooring, and specialty flooring systems Prepare subfloors by measuring, leveling, grinding, patching, and moisture testing Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and layout drawings Accurately measure, cut, and fit flooring materials Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently Apply adhesives and finishes according to manufacturer and job specifications Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with OSHA and union safety standards Work collaboratively with other trades and jobsite supervision Qualifications Member in good standing with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBC) or ability to obtain dispatch through the local union Experience in commercial or industrial floor covering installation preferred Knowledge of flooring materials, tools, and installation techniques Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Green Bay Compensation & Benefits Union wages per collective bargaining agreement Employer-paid health insurance, pension, and annuity Continuing training and upgrade opportunities through union apprenticeship and training programs Steady work with signatory contractors Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $25 - $41 Hourly Bonus/Commission: No
