Job Description:

Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist.

Education:

  • Completion of Sonography Program Preferred

Experience:

  • 3 years Medical Imaging - Sonographer Preferred

Certifications/Licensures:

  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association – Required

  • Currently credentialed with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, with a current RDMS license with subspecialty registries in Abdomen and OB/GYN, and current RVT license

  • BR Breast Certification - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Required at sites that perform Diagnostic Mammography, if performing diagnostic breast ultrasound– Must be obtained within 90 days of hire

  • OB/GYN - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire

  • RVT Registered Vascular Technologist - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Must be btained within 90 days of hire, with the exception of new graduates, who must obtain their RVT license within 14 months

  • If the technologist is unable to comply in acquiring their missing sub-specialty license due to extenuating circumstances, one 90-day extension can be granted only at the discretion of the Medical Imaging Director

  • Work shift: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 10:30PM-7:00AM
  • RVT highly preferred before hire.
  • Hospital and ER experience strongly preferred.
  • May be asked to support Call as needed.

Work Shift:

08.0 - 22:30 - 07:00 No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$83.24 - $124.85Hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
