Required Education, Training & Experience
• ARRT Certification in Ultrasound (required)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) — strongly preferred
• Minimum two (2) years of sonography experience
Required Licenses & Certifications
• ARRT Certification in Ultrasound
• RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) — strongly preferred
• Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license issued by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) — required for practice in Texas; out-of-state candidates must obtain prior to start
• BLS Certification
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts exams
• Prepare and position patients for ultrasound examinations
• Assist with developing and maintaining imaging protocols and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and infection control policies
• Collaborate with radiologists, referring providers, and administrative staff to optimize patient care
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate service when needed
• Support scheduling efficiency and patient throughput
• Participate in accreditation and quality improvement initiatives
• Prior CT experience is a plus
