Qualifications and responsibilities for this Tube Bending Operator position include:
- Hands-on experience setting up and/or operating mandrel tube bending machines (rotary draw, CNC preferred); aerospace or precision tubing experience is a strong plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of tube bending principles, including material behavior, mandrel support, wiper die function, and common defects
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications – Review work orders, CAD data, and specifications to determine bend requirements and tolerances
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and basic math skills – Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, mylar layouts, and gauges to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Experience troubleshooting material issues such as wrinkling, springback, or slippage
- Familiarity with thin-wall tubing, tight-radius bending, and exotic alloys (titanium, stainless steel, aluminum preferred) – Perform test bends and validate setups before releasing to production
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and support routine machine maintenance
- Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail and safety – Collaborate with operators, programmers, and quality teams to meet AS9100 and customer standards
Salary: $25.00-$35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: This full-time, permanent, direct-hire position offers great benefits including 5% profit sharing for 401k contribution, two medical plan options (HMO 100% covered and PPO plan), dental, vision, 120 hours of PTO after 1 year (front loaded), and discretionary bonuses based on company profitability.
