Overview

Key Responsibilities

Safe Operation: Drive, maneuver, and operate trucks over long distances or local routes.

Inspections: Perform comprehensive pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle (trailer, tires, lights, brakes) to ensure safe operating conditions.

Cargo Management: Supervise, assist with, and verify the loading/unloading of cargo to prevent damage.

Compliance: Maintain accurate, up-to-date logbooks (hours of service) and documentation in compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and state regulations.

Communication: Maintain regular contact with dispatch regarding route status, delays, or potential on-site hazards.

Maintenance: Report any vehicle defects, mechanical issues, or accidents immediately to management. 

Requirements and Qualifications

License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B).

Experience: 5+ years of proven experience as a truck driver.

Driving Record: Clean driving record with no recent moving violations or accidents.

Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of road, safety, and driving laws.

Skills: Strong communication, time-management, and navigation skills.

• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $23.17-$39.38 hourly. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location.
