Job Details
You will manage and try personal injury and catastrophic loss cases from intake through verdict, with direct accountability for case strategy, discovery, expert development, dispositive motion practice, and first-chair trial execution. You will collaborate closely with firm partners and senior associates across departments and serve as a key relationship contact for a major institutional client.
Expected billable hours are 1,700 to 1,800 per year.
The firm is open to candidates coming from insurance defense, commercial litigation, or general civil litigation, provided there is a genuine first-chair trial record and meaningful exposure to catastrophic injury matters. Specifically, the firm is looking for:
10 or more years of litigation experience with a demonstrated first-chair trial record
Active New York State Bar admission and direct experience trying cases in New York State courts
Substantive experience with catastrophic injury matters (serious bodily injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, or comparable)
Strong command of expert witness strategy, damages framing, and high-stakes negotiation
