We are a locally owned and operated tree service company serving the Abilene area with a reputation for safety, professionalism, and top-quality work. As our team grows, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Lead Trimmer for our tree crewsto head up field operations and ensure every job is done efficiently and safely.
Job Summary:
The Lead Trimmer will be responsible for managing a small team of tree workers, ensuring job site safety, operating equipment, and trimming or removing trees and branches as needed. You’ll be the go-to person on-site, making decisions and working directly with customers and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a crew of 2–3 ground hands.
- Operate and work from a manlift as needed.
- Trim, prune, and remove trees and large limbs safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Communicate clearly with customers and team members.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety guidelines and company standards.
Requirements:
- Experience operating a manlift (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of tree trimming and removal techniques.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Able to operate heavy equipment such as stump grinders, mini skids, big skids, and mini loaders.
- Experience working with and around cranes (preferred).
- Must be able to pass a drug test and be subjected to random drug tests throughout employment.
- Driver's license not required.
