Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. The technologist will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, acquire high-quality nuclear medicine studies, and communicate results and patient prep needs with physicians and nursing staff. This position requires adherence to state and federal regulations and departmental procedures. The role includes contact with patients across the lifespan and may involve minor clerical duties and equipment coordination.
Minimum Requirements
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
- Current state licensure to practice Nuclear Medicine in Nevada. Candidate must have NV state license in hand before start date.
- Certification by AART, ARRT(N), or equivalent credentials. RCIS noted as acceptable where applicable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
- Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required.
- Experience operating scintillation cameras, nuclear medicine gamma cameras, and associated image processing systems.
- Experience with radiopharmaceutical handling, dosing, and safety procedures consistent with federal and state regulations.
- Ability to work with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
- Preferred: Experience in a high-volume hospital setting, trauma center environment, or with stroke-accredited services. Preferred: prior floating experience across departments or units.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Hospital.
- Shift: Days.
- Shift Hours: 0600-1700 (10-hour shift).
- Typical Schedule Pattern: 4x10s (rotating days) with 40 guaranteed weekly hours.
- Call Requirements: No routine call; participation in call schedule at supervisor discretion during short staffing may occur.
- Floating: Travelers may be required to float within the organization up to competency level.
- Scheduling Notes: Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and occasional additional shift pickups during the schedule period. Employer reserves right to cancel shifts for low census with appropriate notice as per contract terms.
