Job Information:
We are seeking a skilled Traveling Data Center Technician for a 2-week assignment supporting the setup of two new server rooms for a credit card manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, UT. The assignment will begin in Eatontown, NJ, with required travel to Utah.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test Cat6 cabling
- Perform server rack installation and equipment mounting (racking)
- Complete cable management and patching of network connections
- Assist in bringing new server rooms online and ensuring proper connectivity
- Maintain organized, clean, and efficient work environments
- Work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and focus
Requirements:
- Experience with structured cabling, specifically Cat6 termination
- Knowledge of data center environments, including racking and patching
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Professional demeanor and reliability
Assignment Details:
- Compensation: $30 - $31 per hour
- Start Date: Flying out Sunday, April 5, 2026 (ability to travel / fly is required)
- Duration: Approximately 2 weeks
- Return: April 16 or April 17, 2026
- Travel: Flight from NJ to UT provided
- Accommodations: Covered
- Meal Allowance: Provided
- Note: Flight time to and home is compensable. Expect to work 7:00 AM - approximately 6:00 PM Monday - Friday. Pay is $30 - $31 per hour.
