Traveling Butler, Professional Server, Chief Steward/Purser, Aide de Camp
Westchester, NY area
Our client is an executive couple with grown children; they have hired us to develop a team of three who will focus on providing hospitality and supporting gracious living at their homes or while traveling. The ideal candidate could be a trained Butler, high-level Aide de Camp, experienced yacht Chief Stew or airline Purser, or a career Server in fine restaurants, hotels, or resorts.
The key responsibilities of this role include serving, table setting, bartending, simple meal prep one or two days per week when Chef is off (generally assembling Chef-prepared food), packing and unpacking, etc. The principals prefer candidates who can support some travel to the family’s other homes (day trips to two weeks) and serving on the plane.
You embrace impeccable, invisible service. You have a culinary aptitude. You want a reasonable schedule. There are other colleagues in the same role to ensure coverage for the principals and balance for the team. The team will have compatible skills, and each person will offer unique expertise.
The principals have Facilities, Housekeeping, and Culinary teams already in place.
Schedule
- Generally, this is a consistent 5-days per week schedule.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation range is $160,000 to $190,000 plus a generous year-end performance-based bonus. We are willing to consider truly exceptional candidates outside of this range.
- Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance 100% employer-paid for the employee and family; paid vacation; 401(k).
- The goal is to provide elegant service, work-life balance, and long-term financial security to dedicated employees.
