Travel Ultrasound Tech - $2,560 to $2,720 per week in Batesville, AR

Pay Rate: $64.00 - $68.00/Hourly.

Summary: The Sonographer is responsible for performing high quality diagnostic exams/procedures in the Ultrasound department in an efficient manner according to the physician’s order. The Sonographer works effectively with patients and physicians and maintains cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Complete studies in a timely and efficient manner utilizing downtime to assist others where needed. 
• Assures exam charges and 5 day late list are checked daily for the ultrasound department.
• Organizes workload during high volume to expedite patient care and communicates to other technologists all pending exams and any pertinent information. 
• Assists the physician in performing radiology procedures.
• Promotes positive relationships at the department level and discusses concerns with the supervisor and presents the department in a positive manner to other employees and staff. 
• Maintains supplies with a minimum inventory and develops new methods of supply utilization. 
• Handles equipment in a safe and appropriate manner within guidelines and policies of WRMC and the Ultrasound/Non-Invasive department. Maintains clean work area and follows equipment cleaning policies. Assures exterior surfaces of the machines are wiped down after each workday and between patients as appropriate.
• Follow the “on-call” policy by responding to call back within acceptable time-frame and arriving in the department within 30 minutes after being called in. 
• Willingly assist with procedures in any area of radiology when needed. Check with co-workers during downtime for need of assistance.
