Job Title: Ultrasound Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Ultrasound Tech - General Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (11:00 AM - 11:00 PM) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: State license required Certifications: BLS, ARDMS Must-Have: - Experience with OB, General, Echo, Abdomen, Small Parts, and Vascular Ultrasound Description: The role of an Ultrasound Technician involves performing various types of ultrasound exams. The technician will work scheduled shifts from Wednesday to Friday. On Fridays, there will be an on-call responsibility from 11:00 PM to 9:00 AM. A strong ability to conduct OB, General, Echo, Abdomen, Small Parts, and Vascular ultrasounds is essential. Certain skill sets like high-risk OB and various pediatric examinations are required. Experience with specific procedures, such as amniocentesis and ultrasound-guided biopsy, is crucial. Patient age groups will include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support will involve collaboration with teams such as IV, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Call coverage will be required on weekends. The daily census and the number of rooms are variable based on the patient needs. A strong emphasis will be placed on maintaining patient care standards and safety protocols. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment and should demonstrate excellent communication and technical skills.
