Job Title: Surgical Technician CVOR Profession: Surgical Technician Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Schedule Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 4+ years in CV and Endovascular License: Certification as a Surgical Technologist Certifications: BLS certification through AHA Must-Have: - Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program - Current Surgical Technologist certification - 4+ years of experience in CV and Endovascular Description: The CVOR Tech performs various technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients. This role requires expertise in cardiovascular and endovascular procedures. The technician is responsible for ensuring the surgical environment is ready for operations. Effective collaboration with the surgical team is essential for successful procedures. Maintaining patient safety and comfort is a top priority. Knowledge of sterile techniques and instrumentation is crucial. The position includes call responsibilities every fourth weekend and once per week during a six-week rotation. Robust communication skills are necessary for interacting with patients and team members.
