Job Title: Surgical First Assistant Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: First Assist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 9 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Required certifications Certifications: CSFA, CFA, or SA-C Must-Have: - At least 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest utilizing either Terumo or Maquet. - At least 2 years of Open Heart First Assist experience. Description: The position is for a Surgical First Assistant. The shift is from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The assignment duration is 13 weeks, with a commitment of 36 hours each week. The unit has 2.5 CVORs. The typical procedures performed include CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, aorta repair (both open and endoscopic), and thoracic surgeries. The role requires the ability to rotate call every third weekend and every third weekday. Candidates must have the required certifications to be considered. The dress code will consist of scrubs provided by the organization. Best personality fit is preferred for this role.
