Job Title: Sterile Technician Profession: Sterile Tech Specialty: Surgery SPT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Shift (Monday - Friday) Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: Minimum 2 years of recent experience in sterile processing Description: The Sterile Technician cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes hospital supplies, instruments, and trays. This assures that sterilization and infection control measures meet established standards of care. The technician utilizes standard sterile processing equipment. The unit comprises 4 operating rooms. Scrubs will be provided for the dress code. The position requires participation in a call rotation. The work entails adherence to safety and health regulations. Candidates must possess the required skills and certifications. Candidates will be expected to follow departmental guidelines and policies. Charting will be done using an electronic medical record system.
