Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 5 x 8 hours (06:00 - 14:30) Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a Level I or II hospital License: Current state license required Certifications: IAHCSMM/HSPA, CRCST, CSPDT Must-Have: No first-time travelers. Trackable work history required. No cancellations in work history. Must have certification for at least 2-3 years. Familiarity with specific equipment such as sterilizers and ultrasonic machines. Description: Please ensure the traveler is aware of the expectation to stay at the facility during emergency events. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed for each emergency event as impacts vary. By signing the travel contract, the individual accepts this condition. Travelers should be comfortable with these expectations. Must have experience with sterilization processes and decontamination methods. Knowledge of instrument tracking systems and the three-sink method in decontamination is required. The candidate must also be familiar with loaner/vendor processes. Three key parameters to monitor on sterilization printouts should be understood. The ability to check for instrument functionality is essential. Experience with advanced surgical instruments, including robotic systems, is preferred. A minimum of three years of work experience is necessary for all applicants. References from previous supervisors will be required to obtain clearance to start the contract. Candidates must ensure that their certifications are current and relevant. The facility does not accept local travelers; applicants must be located more than 65 miles from the facility. Allied candidates booked with pending licenses must apply for licensure within 72 hours of signing.
