Summary: The Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) works under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support the assessment and treatment of individuals with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. The SLPA assists in implementing therapy plans, documenting progress, and providing direct therapy services as directed by the supervising SLP.
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.
- Provide direct therapy to individuals or groups in areas such as articulation, language development, fluency, voice, and social communication.
- Support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) interventions as directed.
- Reinforce therapy goals in classroom, clinical, or home settings (as applicable).
