Location: Bel Air, MD

Start Date: 02-16-2026

End Date: 05-16-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Sunday through Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in delivering individualized treatment plans that help patients progress toward their goals
  • Provide therapeutic interventions such as therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and mobility practice
  • Document patient evaluations, interventions, and progress accurately and in a timely manner
  • Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and techniques to promote independence
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment, ensuring a safe environment
  • Advocate for patients and contribute ideas to improve rehabilitation outcomes
Qualifications
  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or PTA graduate eligible for Maryland licensure
  • Graduation from an accredited PTA program
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required or willingness to obtain prior to start
  • Comfort working in a skilled rehab or long-term care setting and with patients across the adult lifespan
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to patient safety and quality care
Education
  • Associate degree or diploma from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Knowledge & Skills
  • Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfers, and common rehab modalities
  • Familiarity with patient documentation and basic computer charting
  • Strong clinical observation and patient assessment skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and family education
  • Time management and organization to manage caseloads and shift flow
