• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of the supervising PT
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and mobility tasks
• Implement and document treatment plans, tracking patient progress and outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
• Maintain a safe environment by properly using and maintaining equipment and following protocols

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Virginia or ability to obtain state licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Completion of an accredited PTA program
• Previous experience in inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or outpatient settings preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with patients and staff

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program or equivalent

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise techniques and modalities commonly used in rehab
• Knowledge of safe patient handling, transfers, and gait training
• Familiarity with documenting treatment plans and progress in electronic health records
• Ability to adapt care to meet individual patient goals and needs
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
