Location: South Diamond, NM
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Day shift; aligned with the school calendar, weekdays only)
Hours per Week: 37.5
Candidate Pay Rate: $75 - $52.5 per hour
Roles & Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for students to identify needs and strengths
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services focused on mobility, balance, strength, coordination and functional access
- Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology and environmental modifications to improve participation
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions to advocate for students
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state and federal guidelines
- Educate school staff and caregivers on safe mobility, positioning and transfer techniques to promote independence
- Active New Mexico Physical Therapist license (required)
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (required)
- Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Strong organizational, communication and caseload management skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, special education staff and families

- Skilled in pediatric mobility, positioning, transfers and assistive technology
- Strong documentation practices compliant with school, state and federal standards
- Effective communicator who can train staff and collaborate across disciplines

- Ability to recommend and fit adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
