Job Title: Physical Therapist Profession: PT Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:00 AM - 06:30 PM Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in outpatient orthopedics License: Current California Physical Therapist license Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification Must-Have: - Recent experience in outpatient orthopedics Description: Must have recent experience in outpatient orthopedics. Days needed: 4 days per week. Shifts/hours: 08:00 AM - 06:30 PM. One weekend per month on call: 07:00 AM - 09:00 AM each day. Patient caseload is primarily outpatient, focusing on orthopedics, general deconditioning, balance/fall prevention, and other diagnoses depending on the PT's skills. Care is primarily one-on-one with patients. Inpatient/acute care may be required as needed. The EMR system used is Cerner. Preferred experience includes inpatient/acute care, with training/mentoring available if needed. Other specialty PT experiences such as pelvic health, vestibular rehab, outpatient neuro rehab, pediatrics, and/or lymphedema are also preferred. The position may require floating to other units as needed. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, formulating a plan of care, and administering physical therapy treatments. Interaction with all hospital departments and medical staff is expected. Maintain confidentiality regarding patient information and related hospital business. Conduct all hospital business ethically and lawfully. Adhere to personnel, payroll policies and procedures, and departmental policies. Interpersonal skills are necessary for instructing and comforting patients and families, as well as for effective communication with healthcare team members. Analytical skills are required to prioritize workload and develop solutions to patient-related issues. Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word, is necessary. Ability to learn various computer software programs, including those related to clinical care. Proficiency in English is required, including reading, writing, and speaking. In summary, this position focuses primarily on outpatient orthopedics, with minimal inpatient care responsibilities. Regular hours are 08:00 AM - 06:30 PM for 4 days per week, along with one weekend per month for inpatient coverage.
