Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active California Physical Therapist license is required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• No new graduates. Minimum prior clinical experience required; candidate must demonstrate competency to perform independent outpatient evaluations and plan of care management.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings, including evaluation, goal writing, documentation, and discharge planning.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record documentation, including functional quality indicators, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry.
• Ability to supervise and delegate to therapy aides or assistants and to participate in student clinical education as assigned.
• Maintain professional licensure and fulfill state-mandated continuing education requirements. Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and professional code of conduct.
• Preferred: prior experience with orthopedic and community-based functional treatment programs.
