Job Description:

The Physical Therapist I/II / Advanced Physical Therapist I/II position serves to provide quality physical therapy services to a predominately Native American population for the treatment or prevention of physical disability or disease. Responsible for management and implementation of Physical Therapy program; provision of physical therapy evaluation and treatment of inpatients (regular work week, and weekend rotation) and outpatients, ages ranging from birth through geriatric; provision of specialty services such as wound care, prosthetic and orthotic clinic, geriatric clinic, high school clinic, functional clinic, spinal cord clinic, assistive technology/adaptive equipment evaluation/treatment, Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetic Orthotic Supply Program; assumes direction and development of the physical therapy section to include continuing quality improvement, risk management and safety, physical therapy policies and procedures; Joint Commission preparation, staff education, reporting, staff meeting and in-service, and other duties. Responsibilities also include that listed on the Medical Staff Credentialing Core Privileges form.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy evaluations and treatments for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Manage and implement the Physical Therapy program.
  • Provide specialty physical therapy services and clinics.
  • Develop and direct the physical therapy section including quality improvement and risk management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a CAPTE accredited school of Physical Therapy.
  • Valid, current, full, and unrestricted license in any U.S. state, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
  • Meet credentialing requirements to serve on the Medical Staff.
