Description: A Physical Therapist plans and executes rehabilitation programs to help patients return to a higher level of physical function after an accident or surgery. Physical Therapists assist patients through a combination of physical activity, reflexology, massage, and muscular and skeletal manipulation. Providing information to patients and families helps reduce anxiety and conveys acceptance and sensitivity. Professional relationships with other healthcare team members must be upheld. Communication regarding clinical priorities is necessary for patient care. Initiating communication regarding security concerns related to healthcare workers is important.
