Pharmacy Technician – Lead – Day Shift | Lancaster, TX
Millbrook Support Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our day shift team in Lancaster, TX.

Key Responsibilities
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with peers and team members.
• Train Pharmacy Technicians on proper labeling procedures in accordance with current SOPs and established protocols.
• Lead by example through active engagement on the production floor and ensure team members remain on task.
• Utilize leadership experience to manage, guide, and motivate team members effectively.
• Assist with maintaining required administrative records, including staff background checks, training documentation, and reporting.
• Oversee daily operations within the assigned production area and coordinate activities with other departments as needed.
• Orient and support new contract pharmacy technicians and assist in evaluating their performance.
• Maintain a visible presence on the operations floor as a working lead.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, addressing issues related to patient safety, attendance, punctuality, production output, and other performance standards.
• Understand and apply proper precautions for handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
• Follow all SOPs and procedures to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency.
Certifications
• Must meet all qualifications of a Pharmacy Technician including a CPhT by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians.
Technical & Clinical Skills
• Strong understanding of pharmacy practices, medical terminology, and drug classifications.
• Excellent computer literacy and data entry accuracy.
• Proficiency with pharmacy systems, prescription processing, and documentation protocols.
Experience
• Preferred: Minimum of 6 months of experience in a pharmacy environment (mail order, hospital, retail, or long-term care).
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands to handle materials and operate pharmacy equipment.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, production-oriented mail-order pharmacy.
• Occasional lifting of boxes or materials up to 25 lbs.
• Work is performed in a secure, climate-controlled pharmacy environment during day shift hours.
