Pharmacy Technician - Lead – Night Shift | Lancaster, TX

Millbrook Support Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our night shift team in Lancaster, TX.
This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacy technicians who are organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving the health and lives of others through meaningful work in a mission-driven, federally regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate inter-personal skills to effectively interact with peers.  
  • Must be able to train Pharmacy Technicians on correct labeling procedures according to current SOPs and procedures.  
  • Demonstrate experience leading a group or project that would indicate the ability to manage and supervise others.  
  • Ability to work on the floor and keep employees on task. 
  • Demonstrate experience in administrative/records management to assist with maintaining required records on staff background investigations, training, and reporting.  
  • Supervisory tasks include day to day administration of assigned operational area (production floor) and to coordinate activities with other productions areas. 
  • Orient new contract pharmacy technicians and assist with evaluating performance.  
  • These positions are working Leads and must always be on the operations floor.  
  • If this position is associated with supervision this is also a working supervisor position. Only one supervisor can be in the admin office at a time.  
  • Must be able to understand the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste. 
  • Must be able to follow SOP and procedures as required. 
  • The Lead Supervisor position must maintain the employee policies and procedures and will act when these policies and procedure are not adhered to. Examples are patient safety, attendance, late reporting, Parking lot infractions, Production output, and so on
Certifications
  • Must have all qualifications of Pharmacy Technician, certified or non-certified.
Technical & Clinical Skills
  • Strong understanding of pharmacy practices, medical terminology, and drug classifications.
  • Excellent computer literacy and data entry accuracy.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy systems, prescription processing, and documentation protocols.
Experience
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pharmacy environment (mail order, hospital, retail, or long-term care).
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands to handle materials and operate pharmacy equipment.
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, production-oriented mail-order pharmacy.
  • Occasional lifting of boxes or materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Work is performed in a secure, climate-controlled pharmacy environment during night shift hours.
