Job Summary
NuvemRx s Pharmacy Management Team seeks a compassionate, patient-focused Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist in Charge to oversee pharmacy operations, staff leadership, client relationships, and patient care. Demonstrate the highest standards of patient quality care, regulatory compliance, and team motivation. Key focus: patient safety, education, and growth strategies.
Essential Job Functions
Provide medication support, education, and counseling to patients on prescriptions, chronic conditions, and specialty care.
Manage pharmacy staff (pharmacists and technicians): motivate, train, develop strengths, address gaps, and foster a culture of caring and pride.
Oversee pharmacy operations including patient safety, professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, personnel management, inventory, financial profitability, loss prevention, and workflow optimization.
Build and maintain relationships with health center providers and staff; provide drug education, join patient care teams, and attend clinical meetings.
Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, Fraud Waste and Abuse (FWA) standards, federal/state/local laws, and facility policies.
Stay current on regulations; implement growth strategies for pharmacy expansion.
Administer immunizations and vaccinations (certification preferred).
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited university.
Active Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania (or eligibility for licensure).
3+ years pharmacy experience, with minimum 3-5 years retail pharmacy management experience.
Management experience in retail pharmacy setting (340B knowledge a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual: English and Spanish.
Immunization certification.
Vaccination administration experience.
Excellent oral/written communication and exceptional patient service skills.
Physical Requirements
Standing for extended periods.
Fine motor skills for repetitive tasks (keyboard/phone).
Ability to hear, write, and speak clearly.
