Job Title: Manager of Regional Pharmacy Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmacist Duration: Full-time Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: Day Shift Hours with 24/7 Accountability Experience: Minimum 5 years of supervisory/management experience License: Licensed in Wisconsin in Pharmacy Certifications: PharmD degree, Completion of ASHP accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency in health-system pharmacy administration or equivalent work experience Must-Have: - Graduation from an accredited college or university with a PharmD degree - 5 years of supervisory/management experience Description: The Manager of Regional Pharmacy directs all functions of the Pharmacy Operations for the assigned site(s) in a collaborative manner. The role involves overseeing the financial, operational, and quality components of pharmacy sites. This position assists the director with the development and implementation of policies and procedures, quality assurance, and performance standards. The manager participates in planning and implementing procedures in hospital pharmacy as per legal requirements. Collaboration with the pharmacy leadership team is essential for formulating ideas, analyzing problems, developing solutions, budgeting, and planning operational activities. Establishing effective working relationships and maintaining open lines of communication with medical staff is crucial. The role requires maintaining collaborative communication with all staff to ensure effective operations. This position confers with information systems to develop pharmacy information management systems, patient and department charge systems, and inventory control. Participation on various committees is required, including Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Safety, Information Systems, Patient Medication Safety, and Nursing/Pharmacy Committees. Human resource responsibilities include interviewing, selecting new staff, promotions, performance evaluations, resolving partner concerns, and overall team morale. The manager ensures that all operation areas meet productivity, budgetary, partner engagement, and patient outcome targets. Ability to perform all duties of the pharmacy manager is necessary. Other job duties may be assigned as needed.
