Job Description:

Provide pharmaceutical care and ensure the effective and safe use of medications. Supervise and collaborate with technical support personnel in drug preparation and distribution systems.

Responsibilities:

• Medication Order Verification / Entry
• Supervise technical support personnel in drug preparation and distribution systems.
• Perform final dispensing check of all medication orders and complete required documentation.
• Review and monitor Override Reports and other reports.

Requirements:

• Prior hospital experience (preferably at least 2 years)
• Proof of completion of 20-hour ACPE-accredited sterile compounding course
• Active Pharmacist license with Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Meditech experience preferred
• Decentralized pharmacy experience, including vancomycin dosing adjustments and renal dosing adjustments, preferred
