Job Title: Orthopedic Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Orthopedic Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:30 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Washington Medical Assistant license Certifications: Certification by national association of orthopedic tech, BLS Must-Have: - Valid U.S. SSN - Acknowledgment of facility's location on an island - Interview availability Description: Certifications required include a Washington Medical Assistant license, certification by a national association of orthopedic tech, and BLS. Travelers are accepted with relevant certifications and experience. Floating may be required as needed within scope. Meditech is the electronic medical record system used. The position is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. There is no on-call requirement for this role. COVID-19 vaccination is required with medical or religious exemptions only. Flu vaccination is also required with the same exemption criteria. Previous experience in a surgical services setting is preferred. The role involves working with various patient diagnoses and may require interdisciplinary support. Qualified candidates must uphold the highest standards of patient care and professionalism. Travel partners are welcome. Local candidates are accepted at the same terms. Modules may be included in orientation that will not be billable if completed in the initial training period. All applications must represent appropriate time off instead of breaks in service for extensions.
