Pride Health is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant to support our client's medical facilities based in Everett, WA 98201. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Name: Ophthalmic Assistant
Location: Everett, WA 98201
Duration: 3+ months Contract (Possibilities of extension)
Payrate: $24 - 27/hr. On W2 (Pay Rate is based on experience)
Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 8 AM – 5 PM/ Monday - Friday (5 days wk.)
Travel: Rare travel to Arlington, WA 98223
Job Responsibilities:
- Obtain initial patient assessments by recording medical history and documenting procedures in the medical record.
- Perform and document diagnostic testing including visual acuity, color vision, stereopsis, auto-refractor readings, refraction, intraocular pressure, and other ordered ophthalmic tests.
- Coordinate provider activities and help maintain efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.
- Utilize AIDET principles to greet patients, answer questions during visits, triage phone calls, and schedule appointments.
- Administer ocular medications under provider direction.
- Assist with treatments and minor surgical procedures under provider supervision.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and reliable medical records.
- Support patient billing processes and complete and track referrals.
- Collaborate effectively with ophthalmology, optometry, and cross-functional department teams.
Qualifications:
- High school/GED or equivalent.
- Experience working in an eye care setting.
- Must be willing to get COA (Certified Ophthalmic Assistant) within 18 months of getting hired.
