Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Inpatient Rehabilitation 

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a dynamic inpatient rehabilitation team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients recovering from acute illness, injury, surgery, or neurological events in a fast-paced, collaborative environment focused on functional independence and quality outcomes. 

The COTA will implement individualized treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist (OT) and play a key role in helping patients regain strength, coordination, self-care skills, and confidence prior to discharge. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed OT 

  • Assist patients with ADLs including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and feeding 

  • Facilitate therapeutic activities to improve strength, balance, endurance, cognition, and fine motor skills 

  • Utilize adaptive equipment and train patients on compensatory strategies 

  • Accurately document daily treatment sessions and progress toward established goals 

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including PT, SLP, nursing, and case management 

  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to facility and regulatory guidelines 

Ideal Candidate: 

  • Active COTA license in practicing state 

  • Inpatient rehab or acute care experience preferred 

  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills 

  • Ability to manage a productive caseload in a fast-paced setting
