Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to help patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility regain or improve activities of daily living and functional skills while working in Moore, OK.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active Oklahoma occupational therapy license required at time of submission.
  • Minimum 1 year of OT clinical experience required.
  • Required experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation settings.
  • Ability to perform standardized assessments and document treatment minutes in an electronic medical record per regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated competency providing ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercise, and use of assistive devices.
  • Experience supervising OT assistants, rehab aides, or students preferred.
  • BLS certification may be required per facility policy. (Preferred items are indicated as preferred.)


Assignment Details

  • Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Shift Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts.
  • Start time requirement: therapist start time must be before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM. Shift times are flexible provided they are consistent and communicated with the Director of Rehabilitation.
  • Weekend Requirement: No weekends.
  • Assignment Duration: 13-week travel assignment.
  • Floating: Candidate may be required to float within the organization as operational needs dictate.

The area supports a suburban lifestyle with nearby shopping centers, multiple dining options, and routine commuter access to the I-35 corridor connecting to broader regional destinations.


Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop individualized plans of care following regulatory and clinical standards.
  • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based interventions to support clinical decision-making.
  • Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercise, and assistive device training.
  • Assess patient progress, adjust treatments, and evaluate outcomes. Document clinical reasoning and treatment minutes accurately in the electronic documentation system.
  • Provide patient, family, and caregiver education and interdisciplinary communication regarding patient progress and discharge planning.
  • Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings, and complete facility-required trainings.
  • Adhere to NBCOT and State practice acts, codes of conduct, and professional ethics.
