Key Responsibilities for the Travel Occupational Therapist Assistant:
  • Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Guide patients through therapeutic activities designed to improve mobility and daily living skills
  • Monitor patient progress and report observations to supervising OT
  • Educate patients and families on therapy activities and home exercises
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with state and facility guidelines
  • Travel as needed to assigned facility locations

Requirements for the Travel Occupational Therapist Assistant:
  • Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant license in the state of California
  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program
  • NBCOT certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a COTA
  • BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
