Key Responsibilities for the Travel Occupational Therapist Assistant:
- Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Guide patients through therapeutic activities designed to improve mobility and daily living skills
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to supervising OT
- Educate patients and families on therapy activities and home exercises
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with state and facility guidelines
- Travel as needed to assigned facility locations
Requirements for the Travel Occupational Therapist Assistant:
- Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant license in the state of California
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program
- NBCOT certification
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a COTA
- BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
