Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry monitors
- Provide care to patients with cardiac and other high-acuity conditions
- Administer medications, monitor IVs, and assess patient responses
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with facility protocols
Requirements of the Travel Nurse
- Active RN license (Kentucky or Compact State)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years' recent Telemetry experience
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and time-management skills
