Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry I Profession: RN Telemetry I Specialty: RN Telemetry I Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 PM - 07:00 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, ability to work in a stressful environment Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient conditions appropriately. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patients' discharge planning needs with the healthcare team. Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Must be able to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment. Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. This unit is a cardiac telemetry unit caring for all cardiac needs. Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-6. Support staff includes patient care technicians and a healthcare unit coordinator. Utilizes virtual sitter monitoring and monitor technicians for telemetry patients.
