Travel Nurse RN - Surgical Intensive Care Unit - $2,161 per week in Columbus, OH

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Day/Night Rotating or Nights available; reviewed every 4-week scheduling period
Highlights:

- 72-hour comprehensive orientation program
- Advanced critical care environment managing complex patient diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, ARDS, and post-craniotomy care
- Robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (within the last 3 years, with at least 1 year current specialty experience)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
Clinical Skills & Procedures:
- CRRT/CVVHD management (NextStage CRRT system)
- External ventricular drain and ICP monitoring
- Mechanical ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP
- Vasopressor and cardiac drip titration
- Massive transfusion protocol using Belmont rapid infuser
- Arterial line, central line, and PICC line management
- Tracheostomy care and airway management
Float Requirements:
- May float to medical ICU or general ICU/SICU units as needed
- Possible assignments to medical-surgical or progressive care units based on facility needs
Important Compliance Information:
- Strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start date
- Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing
- Candidates within driving distance of Ohio must complete fingerprinting in-state; remote candidates will receive mailed packets
- Time off requests must be submitted with application and built into contract
- Two professional references required: one must be from a manager/director or formal supervisor; second may be from charge nurse
