Registered Nurse - Step Down

Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Step Down care. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality, specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to less critical settings. Your expertise will help ensure smooth recoveries and optimal patient outcomes in a 24-bed telemetry unit equipped for both telemetry and step-down patients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment within a reputable healthcare facility.

Pay Package: $2,568 Weekly Pay
Schedule: 7pm - 7:30am

Required Skills

• Active and current AHA BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in step-down or telemetry units
• Proficiency in medication administration, patient assessments, and care planning
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to perform pushing, pulling, lifting tasks safely
• Experience with ACLS certification is preferred

Nice to Have Skills

• Previous experience working in large rooms with private bathrooms and showers
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems

Preferred Education and Experience

• Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN preferred)
• Prior experience in a telemetry or step-down setting with a patient ratio of 5:1 during day shifts and 7:1 during night shifts

Other Requirements

• Must demonstrate flexibility to work different shifts, including nights
• Capable of handling the physical demands of patient care in a fast-paced environment
