Job Description: Our Stepdown unit is a fast-paced environment where you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients who require close monitoring and intervention. You will be the bridge between the ICU and Med/Surg floors, making a significant impact on patient outcomes. ⚕️ Your Role & Our Patients:
You will care for a diverse patient population with diagnoses including:
- Cardiac conditions & post-cath/pacer procedures ❤️
- Pneumonia (PNA) & COVID patients
- ETOH withdrawal
- ICU downgrades
- Please note: This unit does not handle open heart patients.
Insulin, Heparin, Cardizem, Nitro, Amiodarone, Dopamine, and Dobutamine. Scheduling & Other Details:
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts (specific times: 0545-1815 / 1730-0615).
- Weekends: Required, typically every other weekend.
- Holidays: Required.
- Call/Standby: None! ❌
- Floating: Not required, but may be requested if your skill set aligns and you are agreeable.
- Scrub Color: No specific color! We just ask for clean, professional attire.
