Travel Nurse RN - Registered Nurse First Assistant - $2,457 to $2,730 per week in Western Massachusetts, MA

Job Description:

• An RN first assistant, or RNFA, works alongside the surgeon in the operating room providing direct patient care.
• Nurses need extensive surgical experience and additional training to qualify as first assistants, and many nurses get certification in perioperative nursing or obtain credentials as advanced practice nurses.
• Assist physicians with patient management.
• Provide Surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing the nursing care patients receive before, during and after surgery.
• Pre- and Post-operative patient education.
• Monitoring the patients' physical and emotional well-being.

Qualifications and Job Info:

• Minimum of 1-2 years OR experience
• Current ACLS & BLS Required
• Must have a current state license
• Travel experience a plus
• Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
