Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Mental Health Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Variable Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: 2 years of experience in inpatient mental health nursing License: RN License Certifications: BERT, Team or similar Must-Have: - 2 years of experience in inpatient mental health nursing - RN License - BERT Description: General job duties include assessment and medication management of patients. Crisis management and de-escalation are required. Electronic charting is utilized in this role. Occasional restraint/seclusion may be necessary. Equipment utilized includes Omnicell and EMR - Meditech. There is no plan for the employee to work alone. Weekends, evenings, and innovative scheduling may be required. No floating to other units or departments will occur. The unit has 12 single rooms. The nurse to patient ratio is 6:1 on day shifts and 12:1 on night shifts. Dress code is scrubs or business casual. Standard hospital orientation is provided. Shifts may include one twelve-hour shift and four six-hour shifts.
