Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Must have active state license to apply Certifications: BLS and NIH required. ACLS preferred. Must-Have: - Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU experience. - Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response skills. - Management of dysrhythmias. - Interpretation of dysrhythmias. - IV therapy and phlebotomy skills. - Post Cardiac Angiogram and Pre/Post Cardiac Cath experience. - Care of Ventilated Patients, Chest tubes, and Tracheostomy management. - Knowledge of wound care and isolation precautions. Description: The position requires working in an Intermediate Care Unit. The shift is a 4x12 setup, with hours from 06:45 to 19:15. Nurses may be required to work every other weekend. The job involves caring for a diverse patient population with various conditions. There is a focus on telemetry monitoring, as well as managing emergency responses. Nurses will have a patient ratio of 1:4 during the day. The unit is fast-paced and experiences a high patient throughput. Candidates should be open to floating as required. Experience with Cerner charting is preferred. Professional conduct and attendance are paramount throughout the assignment. Adherence to all hospital policies and procedures is required.
