Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 2 Years Preferred License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic Experience Required Must-Have: Charge Experience Preferred Must-Have: Telemetry Skills Description: This position involves care for a mixture of medical-surgical and intermediate care patients. Nurse-to-patient ratios will range from 1:4 to 1:6, depending on patient assignment each shift. Experience with Epic electronic medical records is preferred. Telemetry skills are essential, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Responsibilities include blood product administration and central/peripheral line care. The role requires management of cardiac drips, nasal cannula, and oxygen administration. Non-invasive airway management skills are necessary. Isolation precautions and personal protective equipment usage are mandatory. Interdisciplinary support is available from physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The unit has a daily census of 12-14 patients with 24 bed capacity.
