Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - 8 hours of Stroke training Description: This position is for a step down telemetry unit. The unit has a capacity of 24 beds. It is capable of accommodating 8 step down patients. Rooms are large with private bathrooms and showers. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 3:1 for step down patients. The ratio for day shift is 5:1. The ratio for night shift is 7:1. Key responsibilities include pushing, pulling, and lifting. Medication administration is required. Assessments and care plans must be completed regularly. Effective communication and teamwork are essential in this role. Additional training and certifications may be necessary.
