Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years preferred License: Valid state RN license Certifications: BLS & ACLS from American Heart Association required Must-Have Skills/Experience: Cardiology or Intermediate Care experience 1 year required, 2 years preferred Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for a position in the PCU. The facility is a level III trauma center with 198 beds. It provides healthcare services, including medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care. The hospital features state-of-the-art operating suites and various specialized units. The patient population consists of adults to geriatric patients. Normal patient ratios are 1 RN to 3 patients for IMC with active titrating drips. On night shifts, the ratio is 1 RN to 4-5 IMC patients. Standard monitoring equipment is available, including telemetry and IV pumps. Must be willing to float to other units as needed. Preferred experience includes IMC and Cardiac Care. Common diagnoses include STEMI, NonSTEMI, Stroke, Post Cath, and ETOH. An associate nursing degree or higher is required.
